2 Minute Review: Younique Cosmetics' Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes

Hi Darlings!

As you probably know by now, we here at WyoSparkles came from two different ends of the gene pool when it comes to eyelashes.  K was blessed with extraordinarily long lashes naturally.  It's a good thing she's such a nice girl...or J would probably hate her out of sheer, insurmountable, jealousy.  Fabulous lashes are sometimes more enviable than a fabulous boyfriend...

You see J was born...with less awe inspiring lashes.  Unless almost invisible lashes inspire awe, that is.  J's lashes...are super short...super blonde...and super lame.  It is this lameness that spurred J's love for any and all things that will boost her lashes.  She's tried pretty much every mascara EVER...and while there are some that do a pretty good job, she generally relies on false lashes to get the lash results she wants.  Wearing false lashes daily can be kind of a pain...any heel loving girl can tell you that beauty is pain, right?

Thanks to one of our products from Younique Cosmetics, J has learned that maybe...just doesn't have to be pain after all.  No, seriously.  This is earth shattering, you guys.

In with our Younique products was what we kind of consider to be the superstar of this whole show...the main event...we give you...

Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes!

Do you feel that?  Your world is about to get rocked.

Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes is a set of two products, actually...that work together to create lashes that you may not have even thought were possible.  After applying the transplanting gel from the first tube, you'll apply the natural fibers from the other tube, which work with the gel to reportedly transform your eyes!

In spite of the fact that she's kind of a clumsy gal sometimes, and was certain she'd end up with transplanting gel in her bangs and fibers all over her face, J decided to give the Fiber Lashes a try. was actually really easy to use...and she was super impressed with the results.  No...seriously...check it out!

J used the Fiber Lashes on one eye...while using a couple of coats of volumizing mascara on the other eye:

Crazy right?  RIGHT?

Here's a little bit closer look at each eye:

Considering her vast experience in trying different lash boosting products, J was skeptical at first...but the proof is in the pudding* ladies...this stuff actually works.  Really well.  LOVE!

*No pudding was actually involved in getting this wonder product onto both of J's eyes

You can grab yourself some of this AMAZING product by clicking here and shopping with Debi.  If you love fabulous lashes...which, come know you love fabulous will NOT regret picking this one up!

2 Minute Review: Younique Cosmetics' Moodtruck Minerals Loose Pigments

Hey Friends!

Unless you're a brand new follower, or if you've been following us without retaining anything we've ever said, you know that we are addicted...and I mean fabulous eye products.  J might even second guess her fear of a committed relationship if said relationship could be with good eyeshadow.  :)

With this love in mind, we were THRILLED to be sent four loose pigments from Younique Cosmetics in a bag of goodies from them.

Aren't they lovely?

Looking at the swatches below, from top to bottom, we got "Dignified," an irresistible metallic green..."Glamorous," a medium (and super matte) purple..."Curious," a shimmery white that will go with everything...and "Heartbroken," a deep rose shade with a hint of copper shimmer:

As you can see, these pigments deliver maximum color payout, and as soon as we had these in hand, we were DYING to put them to the test.  Kristi, on her first "Younique" outing, created this sultry look:

Stay tuned to our Instagram account, where we'll be showcasing more eye looks created with Younique products soon!

Make sure to head over to Debi's Younique site to check out all of the colors available in this fabulous pigment formula...there are 30 gorgeous shades to choose from, and at $10 each, you can afford to grab a few!

Do you love pigments the way we do...or are you a pressed shadow type of gal?

2 Minute Review: Younique Cosmetics' Eye Brush Set

Hi Loves!

We're going to let you in on a little secret.  We love makeup.  Oh knew that?  Huh...

Well...did you know that loving makeup and having makeup is kind of pointless if you don't have great brushes with which to apply it? did?  Shooooot.

WELL...did you know that Younique Products, which we've been reviewing all week, has some great brushes?  Ha!  You didn't know that, did you?  Finally...we're schooling you.

Just so you know, in our care package of fabulousness from Debi at Younique, we received three brushes (well, kind of one is double ended) with which to try the products out.  We gotta say...we're impressed.

The brush set that we received includes a Deluxe Brush, which is the perfect size/shape for flawless shadow/pigment application...a Crease Brush for superior blending and shading in the crease and corners...and a double ended Liner/Shader Brush, which proved great for both brows and smudging for J's favorite smokey looks.

We have tried (and use daily) brushes from the highest of high end to those that are more "economical," and have found pros and cons about all of them.  These Younique Brushes rank right up with some of our favorite brushes in quality, and in the looks we were able to create with them.  They are super soft, but are firm enough not to fling pigment all over the place while you're using them.  (Am I the only one who has that problem? :( )

If you're looking to try some new brushes and don't know where to turn...check out these and other brushes from Debi & Younique...we're sure you'll love them!

2 Minute Review: Younique Cosmetics' Glorious Face & Eye Mineral Makeup Primer

Hey All!

In keeping with our "Younique" theme for the week, we're excited to talk today about Primer.

I don't know about you, but I have been a makeup addict for my entire life.  This isn't to say that I have always known or used the best practices in my makeup application.  I can readily admit that in my youth, I didn't always know what I was doing, and consequently may not have always looked as good as I thought I looked...

Over the years, however, I have become a professional student of all things beauty; I love learning about practices and products that will make my beauty life...well...more beautiful.  :)

Some of my very favorite products...that I never knew about as a dim-witted youngster...are quality primers for face and eyes.  I really don't know how I survived in a world without primer....but I'm pretty sure I looked like a melted faced weirdo by the end of every day...:(

Over the years I've tried plenty of different primers...(some great...some not!)...and was really eager to try out Younique's Glorious Face & Eye Mineral Primer.

If you don't currently use a primer, you should consider giving Glorious a try.  There are a lot of different types of primer out there, and I was happy to find that Glorious is my favorite that it is kind of a clear gel/serum type primer...rather than a lotion or matte primer.  That right there is my personal preference...and if you like other types of primer...that's cool...but for me...the clear serums work the I feel like they have the most flawless/grease-free absorption.

It will make a HUGE difference in the way that your makeup applies. Using just a small amount (honestly, the size of a pea) of the miracle potion all over your face before applying your foundation, you'll find your skin will be SO smooth, imperfections/unevenness will be balanced, and most importantly, your makeup will go on much more evenly than it usually does.  And...if that isn't reason enough to give it a whirl, I promise you that your make will CONTINUE to look smooth and even throughout the day when you use this primer.  Melty gross faces CAN be a thing of the past, ladies!  :)

We feel confident in giving Glorious Face & Eye Primer two WyoSparkles thumbs up...we think you'll love it, too.  To try Glorious out, or to take a look at other products from Younique, check out Debi's site here.  If you do grab it...make sure to let us know what you think!

Hope you're having a great day!

2 Minute Review: Younique Cosmetics Refreshed Pure & Natural Rose Water

Hey Lovely Ladies!

We're excited to get to share our impressions of some new products with you this week.  We were contacted by Debi with Younique Cosmetics about checking out some of their products for review.

Other than a few comments we'd seen on Facebook from some friends, we were pretty unfamiliar with the line, so we were eager to check out what they have to offer.  You know us...we're gluttons for new goodies!  :)

Debi was awesome enough to send us several products to review, and we thought we'd dedicate a post to each one individually, rather than doing one huge post about you should be hearing about Younique All Week!  :)

The first product I want to tell you about is the Refreshed Pure & Natural Rose Water.

For those of you who have never used Rose Water in your beauty routine, you might be surprised at how versatile it can be.  I've loved using Refreshed in the mornings, as it "wakes" my face up, making my skin feel really fresh...without the harsh drying affect of some toners and astringents.  Our climate is super dry anyway...I can't handle anything that's going to dry my skin out!  :)

Refreshed has also been really great as a final step in my cleansing routine...picking up remnants of makeup and/or dirt that my cleanser seems to leave behind...especially around my eyes, where I need something super gentle.  I'm loving it!

While I've mostly used Refreshed in these ways, there are actually tons of uses for Rose Water...that I didn't even know about.  Rose Water can be mixed with other natural ingredients to treat acne, used on sunburns to cool the heat, and even mixed with loose pigments to create an alternate "wet" look with your makeup.

If you're curious about trying Rose Water, we can highly recommend Younique's Refreshed...we're sure you will find your own favorite ways to use it in your own routine!  For more information about Refreshed, check out Debi's site here...make sure you tell her WyoSparkles sent you!  :)

Do you incorporate Rose Water in your beauty routine?  What is your favorite way to use it?

2 Minute Review: Arganesse Hair Treatment

Let me tell you something about my hair.  My hair…is a mystery.  A mystery, wrapped in an enigma, wrapped in a tendency to go all frizzy in some areas while going all curly in other areas and making me cry and wish I was one of those girls who could shave her head and still look good.  Yes…my hair and I have an interesting relationship.  I’m always trying to tame it.  It’s always trying to run free.  Sometimes we find a place to compromise.  Other times…I’m stuck in bun land.

Because I don’t want to be that girl who pulls her hair into a bun every day...(I actually look ridiculous in a bun,'s not for public consumption)...I fight a constant battle with my hair to get it to look decent.  My daily routine generally consists of deep conditioner, leave in frizz control cream, blow drying with a paddle brush, flat ironing almost my entire head, followed by a lot of finger crossing and offering of bargains to the hair gods.  I’m sure that more often than not, I look like one of those exasperated people in a hair product infomercial.

Because I actually don’t enjoy devoting SO much time and effort to my hair, I am always on the lookout for products that will help my hair routine become more simple.  In the sea of hair products out there, I’ve caught some winners from time to time…and I’ve caught plenty of charlatans that are only pretending to be good products.

Recently, we were given the opportunity to try out a product that neither of us had seen before: Arganesse Hair Treatment.

The tagline for this leave in serum, formulated with argan oil, is this:

I, for one, am always in favor of looking amazing, and if I can control frizz AND add shine while I’m at it, I’m all about that business.  SOOOO…when Arganesse sent us the product to try, I was super excited to put it to the test.  Would it give my hair the “royal treatment” that it claimed it would…or would it fall into the ranks of other products that promised to tame my tresses, only to leave me in mandatory bun induced tears?

I gotta say…I was impressed.  First off, it smells REALLY good.  Smell is a big BIG deal to me…and I think if I found a product that worked perfectly but didn’t smell good…I would have a hard time using it.  Sorry…that’s the breaks.  If I can’t make my hair always look good…I’m going to at least make sure that it’s ALWAYS going to smell good.  These stuff…fits the bill.  I love the fragrance.

I was a little worried at first, because I’ve had problems with oil based serums leaving my hair feeling heavy or weighed down, but the Arganesse didn’t leave me feeling limp at all.  Instead, once I went to dry my hair, I found that it felt not only light, but also softer and silkier than it has in ages.  My usual kinks and waves were nowhere to be found when I’d finished drying my hair with a paddle brush, and I only had to smooth a few small areas with my flat iron before my hair was ready to go.

IT WAS A MIRACLE.  And...halfway through the day, my hair is still silky and smooth, and nary a mid-day, “I’ve been resting on your collar and so I think I should probably mysteriously form a weird bowed out crease in the back of your head” problem is to be found.

In short...I’m in love.

A full sized bottle of Arganesse Hair Treatment retails for around $120, which is on the pricier side, for sure.  However…I really only used a dime sized dollop this morning…(not the quarter sized dollop recommended on the package)...

…and it did wonders with that small amount.  I have no doubt that the bottle will last at least 6 months, if not longer.  Considering how long the bottle will last, and the money I’ve spent on products that DON’T do what they claim to do…I think it’s a smart buy…and one I can honestly feel good about recommending.

Do you have unruly and hard to manage hair like I do?  What is your favorite product to tame your tresses?
