February ipsy: We're In Love!

It’s ipsy time again, ladies!

It’s pretty fitting that February is the month of LOVE…because we are continually in love with the treats that we receive every month from ipsy…and this month is no exception!

This month’s bags were black patent-esque…and came with the following goodies:

Coastal Scents Shadow Quad, featuring these neutral colors: Candlelight, Gunmetal, Incognito, and Ashen
Flawless & Poreless face primer from Pixi
A package of Four Lash Card mascara shields
Smoky Black mascara from Pop Beauty
Jet Black gel eyeliner from Mica Beauty

For the first time in a long time, we actually both got the exact same colors of each product in our bags…but we’re not complaining.  We’re excited to bust all of these products out to create fabulous eyes throughout the rest of February!

Are you an ipsy lover like we are?  What was your favorite product from this month’s Glam Bag?

Sigma Spa presents....

Calling all Brush Hounds!

If you’re like us, you have something of a fascination/love/obsession with good makeup brushes.  Is there anything more exciting than a brand new set of brushes?  We don’t know that there is…unless it is a new set of brushes being presented to you by Ryan Gosling:

Ahhhhh...a pair of girls can dream, can't they?

Anyway...since most of us can't get our hands on a brand new set of brushes every day/week/month, we all know that that second best thing to new brushes is clean brushes.  We love the feeling of clean brushes...it's the best!

It is with clean brushes in mind that Sigma has presented us with the following little teaser...

From the Sigma Affiliates Blog:

"On Monday, February 18th we are launching a revolutionary product that will change the way you wash your brushes."

Wait, what?  Sigma is going to make cleaning our brushes better/easier?  Get out!!

We're super excited to find out what this new offering will be all about.  Until the big announcement, however, we'll be over here dreaming of clean brushes and Mr. Gosling.  ; )

What do you think the details of this new product will be??  What products and techniques do you currently use to clean your brushes?

We're Officially Archie's Girls! A Quick Look at Our Goodies From MAC!

Hey Darlings,

We know that MAC launches several campaigns and lines each year, and despite our wildest dreams, we just can't get everything.  There was no way, however, that we were going to miss out on the Archie's Girls Collection that was released at the end of January...we'd been waiting for this one for a long time, and we were...(like many of you, we assume)...ready to pounce the second it went live on the MAC site.

While we waited for our goodies, we got ourselves in the mood with some light reading:

Finally...our little haul arrived...and we while didn't get every last thing in the collection, we each grabbed several items, and feel like we were able to get a pretty good cross-section of what the line has to offer.  We're especially fond of colors, so we focused on products for eyes, lips, and face.

Take a closer look, along with swatches galore!

and "Daddy's Little Girl" & "Boyfriend Stealer" from Veronica:

Veronica Lipglasses in "Mall Madness" & "Feelin' So Good"

What do you think?  Are you loving these products the way we are?  If you jumped on this collection, did you grab some of the same things we did...or did you get something fabulous that we missed out on?  Let us know...we love to swap input, makeup addict to makeup addict!  :)

Whether you're a Betty or a Veronica, make sure you're sparkling!  Love you!

First Look: The Glinda Palette from Urban Decay

We don’t know about you, but ever since Urban Decay announced two palettes inspired by the upcoming Disney film Oz The Great and Powerful, we have been chomping at the bit to get our hands on them.  We love Disney.  We love The Wizard of Oz.  We love Urban Decay.  It was a trifecta of fabulousness.

Finally, this past weekend, we took a trek to Sephora, and while we’ve lusted over both palettes since seeing them, neither one of us could resist grabbing the “Glinda” palette as our first choice.  As sassy and semi wicked as we may pretend to be from time to time…I guess we both dream of being a good witch in the long run.

The palette features 8 brand new colors from Urban Decay, including two that are “two-in-one” pots, along with a 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil, and a High-Gloss Lip Color.

Here’s an up close look at the colors:

Tornado, a super deep and pretty purple:

Aura, an iridescent violet and light cream duo:

Magic, a light shimmery pink:

Illusion, a light & very sheer peach:

Oz, a metallic blue and gold duo:

South, a medium copper-gray:

The eyeliner in Rockstar…an all time WyoSparkles favorite purple!

The lip color is in Glinda, a pretty neutral shade that has enough color to get you noticed, but is demure enough to leave no doubt that you are, in fact, a good witch.

As if the palette wasn’t a winner already, we’re really excited that it comes in a refillable case, meaning that as we work through our Oz inspired colors, we’ll be able to use the palette with new snap-in UD eye shades.  Woohoo!

We’re “Over The Rainbow” excited to start using this gorgeous new palette to create some fabulous February looks.  Urban Decay never ever lets us down…and we know that the palette will become one of our favorites.

Have you picked up either one of the Oz inspired palettes from Urban Decay?  Are you a good witch or a bad witch?
