Two Minute Review: Maybelline's Dream Fresh BB 8-in-1 Beauty Balm

Hey all, K here.
For several weeks, I have been searching high and low for Maybelline's contribution to the BB Cream rage, which they call Dream Fresh BB 8-in-1 Beauty Balm.  As far as drug store brands go, Maybelline has generally been pretty good to me, and I was anxious to see how this product would fare, especially compared to other BB Creams I've tried...both from high end companies, and from other drug store brands.

Finally...FINALLY...I was able to snag a tube from an almost empty display that had been up for less than a day at Walmart.  Apparently I wasn't the only one who'd been looking out for this stuff, and I'm glad I caught it just in time! :)

Like most BB Creams, this product claims to pack a punch with the payoff, and boasts the following 8 promises:
  1. Blurs imperfections
  2. Enhances
  3. Brightens
  4. Adjusts to skin-tone
  5. Smooths
  6. Hydrates
  7. SPF 30
  8. 0% oils and other heavy ingredients
After trying the product out a couple of different times over the weekend, I found myself tickled with its performance in all of the above listed areas.  Not only did I find that it provided excellent coverage and evened out my skin tone, but I found that I needed less of my additional makeup to get that "perfect" glow that I go for every day.  My skin looked and felt great both days that I used this product!

I was especially impressed with this cream's ability to, as it promises in #4, adjust to my skin tone.  I picked the product up in "medium" tone for a couple of reasons.  First of all, it's summer time, and I do tend to have a little bit more of  a bronze complexion in the summer, but secondly, the "light/medium" was sold out when I finally found the product.  :)  I had a small concern about whether or not the color would compliment my skin tone, but it literally melted into my skin and blended perfectly.

The cream was noticeably thicker, coming out of the tube, than other drug store BB creams I've tried, but was exceptionally wearable and did not feel heavy at all.  Even with our hotter than usual temperatures, along with some rain and humidity over the weekend, my face felt fresh and clean, even after wearing this all day.

Pairing my experience with J's review of Cover Girl's BB Cream, I think it's safe to say that we, WyoSparkles, are in love with the drug store BB Creams we've tried.  I can highly recommend this product, and hope that you have similar success if you try it!

If you've already tried the Maybelline 8-in-1 Beauty Balm, let me know if you liked it as much as I did...or if you have another line/product that you prefer.
